Counselling & Psychotherapy

I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist having trained in London at the Minster Centre following a 6 year intensive course. My aim is to bring together effective approaches incorporating a variety of therapeutic models such as relational therapy, humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment theory, person centred and neuroscience. This will also depend on your individual needs. My experience also covers body psychotherapy and energy work. I offer both short and long term therapy and the length of therapy will depend upon the presenting issues and your wishes. I can also bring in a creative element by offering the use of drawing, sand tray and figures to help the unconscious mind uncover the hidden truths.

I have worked with all age groups including working in a children’s therapy centre.

I also worked for many years as a Reiki healer and teacher and the combination of both Psychotherapy and energy work lends itself to a very effective, holistic and lasting treatment.

I have been working with people therapeutically for 20 years both in private practise and for the NHS, covering a number of issues including bereavement, depression, anxiety, work related issues, relationship breakdown, addiction, trauma, abuse, chronic pain, adoption, domestic abuse and pre/post natal depression.

My experience also covers 20 years of working with women and children who have been affected by domestic abuse, where I worked as a manager in a women’s centre and a children’s therapeutic service for children who had suffered domestic abuse.

I believe the relationship between therapist and client to be very important where we explore issues together and with this I offer an empathic, supportive, safe and confidential space.
